An independent trade union, firmly rooted within the organisation

SFP-Europa is an independent trade union that represents and defends the interests of European Parliament staff. Officially recognised by the Institution, it works to protect statutory rights, improve working conditions and promote the well-being of colleagues.

SFP-Europa is represented on staff representative bodies; it is a member of the Inter-Union Committee (COMI) and plays an active role in the work of the Staff Committee (CdP). On a day-to-day basis, our team listens to colleagues, keeps them informed, advises them and supports them in their dealings, whilst raising their concerns with the Administration.

A new organisation, a wealth of experience

Established as a non-profit organisation (ASBL) in 2020, SFP-Europa operates within the framework of the 1990 Framework Agreement. Whilst its legal structure is recent, its team has extensive experience in defending staff rights and trade union representation, particularly within the SFIE, the Staff Committee and the Inter-Union Committee.

Our current actions fall within the framework of the Framework Agreement of 18 July 2024, adopted pursuant to Article 24b of the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Union, which governs relations between the Institution and recognised trade union and professional organisations.
